Residential
To get to the heart of the matter, residential inpatient treatment is usually the preferred choice. Outpatient treatment can work in some instances, but for most addicts a more comprehensive involvement in the recovery experience is necessary to reverse unproductive life patterns.
Outpatient
Outpatient treatment regimens are usually reserved for the aftercare period, when recovering addicts and alcoholics are striving to maintain their commitment to sobriety. There is no cure for addiction and the risk of relapse is greatest in the weeks and months immediately following the conclusion of rehab.
Sober Living
After you complete your primary treatment for drug or alcohol problems, you will still face a number of significant challenges as you try to establish a sustainable, substance-free lifestyle. Without proper support, you can easily slip back into old habits and behaviors that will increase the likelihood of returning to substance intake.
